Today’s post is about advice your parents give you. So I messaged my mum and asked her to give me life advice for this post.

Well its been a pretty eventful week this week, if you have kept up with my posts, but if not have no fear, I will catch you up now with my 10 things I’m thankful for.
1. Blogging awards. Eeeeeep I got one this week and I’m so thankful to the wonderful person who nominated me for it. I really appreciate it.
2. Being with the family. Honestly I have needed the fucking space to sit and chill without massive drama, and I am seriously thankful for that.
3. Craft equipment. I shall post up some of my greetings cards I have made the past couple of weeks. I have found making them quite therapeutic.
4. Scotland. Its actually pretty amazing and there are some fantastic views almost everywhere you go.
5. My friends. I love them all so much, and they have been amazing to me the past few weeks.
6. Animals. Again, its been wonderful to spend time getting cuddles from the dog, playing with the owls and seeing the horses.
7. The people who have been Sharing, commenting and liking my posts. Thank you for doing that, I appreciate all the support.
8. My beautiful wonderful partners. They are just amazing ❤
9. Having a phone with a camera. I get to take pictures, where ever I am. And I think that's pretty awesome.

With small battles you will achieve small victories
So, after rereading the post I had been nominated for. It was telling me that myself and 14 others had received this sparkly little recognition to the world of the blogging, I was sitting here waiting to find out whether I had got it or not, and I already had. I’m such a fucking newbie to all this hahaha.
So here is my thank you post as well as my obligations for receiving this prize.

As you can see, the first thing I did was post the image of my award on my post I am writing about it. So, we can check that one off √
Next, my thank you for my nomination. Thank you Skill up skillet. I appreciate that you chose me to be one of people to receive this. Their blog is about geek cooking and other wonderful geek related stuff. They also have the sane humour as me, and we both share an appreciation for swear words, you often wouldn’t see in most blogs. Next on the agenda, how did I get into all this. OK, so after years of trying therapy, medication, meditation, in fact the whole fucking works when it came to try and support myself through my mental health, I stumbled into blogging. It was something that Kai was doing, and they told me that it was probably one of the easiest things to do. I just type and I get it all out of my system. Now I would like to say that, several months from when I started, THAT’S BULLSHIT. What was an outlet through my darkest moments, has progressed into myself regularly blogging about all kinds of stuff. From small acorns, grow large oaks, and this tree is progressing quite nicely, and I thank every single person who has viewed what I have written about.
Now for the advice. The first piece of advice I can give you came from my mum. NEVER POST SOMETHING THAT WILL INCRIMINATE YOU. Seriously, I would advice never to post anything that you could get either arrested for or loose your job.
Secondly, pick your battles. If you want to complain about something, fight for something, or just vent. Tell yourself, is it worth it? Do I have the energy for it? If so do it. Sing, shout, get all that frustration out of you, because if you don’t you will become bitter and twisted like I am.
Thirdly, and this might go against a few people’s advice, but just keep fucking blogging. Fuck the word count, fuck the lists. You want a blog, own your own content. Do not look for peoples approval. Yes you can try and chase followers or approval, but who the fuck are you actually doing it for. Make your content honest, and always strive to make it better, not for everyone else, but for yourself.
Finally, the stuff that you came here to see, my picks for the award. These people I honestly believe that they deserve some serious credit. They have worked their butts off with amazing content. Some of the people I will not be able to personally contact. But if you know them, tell them that they have a shiny little prize from me.

3. Everyday Feminism Honestly this is an amazing page. Regardless of the terrible information and horror stories you hear about feminism (which is bullshit). This blog has done a remarkable job with providing some of the best information out there.
4. Sex talk by Seline She had done a guest post for me a while back and is constantly on my blog role. I love her to pieces and her blog about sex positivity, though sometimes controversial brings a lot of sexual heath advice to many people.
5. FTM Brighton This group is amazing, and Ed has worked so hard on this blog for the group, so they deserve a mention. Keep up the blogging peeps.
6. Sabah Choudrey I cannot begin to explain how much I love this person, and their writing. Honestly, its just beautiful. Go follow them. NOW!!! Seriously though Sabah has been an amazing rock for me, and I wish them well in all their adventures.
7. Daniela Uslan Joining their Facebook page has really helped with me getting followers and their blog has encouraged me to write a lot more.

This fortnight I’m up at my mums and my blogging will be possibly sporadic and infrequent. However I’m going to try and fit in the 10 things I’m thankful for this week. Remember, the best way to move forward, is to appreciate what has already happened. So without any more hesitation, I shall start
1) Music. Its an amazing way to escape from a shitty situation without going too far. There are millions of styles and artists out there and they all tell different stories.
2) Facebook groups. Without some of these groups I wouldn’t have seen a lot of content I adore , as well as finding some new viewers to my blog. Hello new followers.
3) P0j0. I think this is the second time you have made it into my top ten, but I couldn’t not put you in it after the whole roast dinner / roasting fiasco. Thank you for making me properly laugh for the first time in a few weeks. For the record , roast dinners are bae.
4) Alfredo. Thank you for proving that roasted foods are utterly amazing, by sending pictures of food porn. Also your majestic beard makes me happy every time I see it dude.
5) Mumma. Aka – The birthing Ship. You pushed out three kids and all of them are fucking insane. Statistically that is some pretty good odds, but you haven’t had it easy with us all. Thank you for being there for us, and the animals we have acuminated over the years.
6) Kai and Steph. Yet again they have been amazing rocks in my life. I know that things are shitty for both of them right now, but I love them both so dearly.
7) My phone. Again, this helps me communicate with the outside world so much easier. And I can do my blog posts with ease.
8) Comedy shows. I have needed a laugh recently and they have helped some what. Thank you comedy writers for not making me feel sad.
9) Friends. Again, thank you to everyone that has been so supportive recently. I know I’m not the greatest person to put up with at times, and I can be frustrating, and I’m sorry for that.
10) Animals. They are probably the best things to be around when you are sad. Be it, feathery, furry or scaly. I love them.

Dear people who need it right now.
Get help if you need it. Laugh if you can, cry if you have to. I know that this world is tough and you feel like people are against you, but the people who care for you are not.
I know you are hurting, and that break ups are hard. I know you want to push away people who were trying to help you, because its a defence mechanism.
If I had a pound for every person I pushed away at a time of crisis , I would be financially stable and possibly afford surgery. Everyone does it, and I totally understand that you need to do that to recover from quite clearly what you are suffering from.
When my Nan passed I felt like the whole world was against me. I drank, I refused to be medicated for my illnesses and tried to destroy things in other people’s lives. Because I felt like they were talking about me, trying to destroy my own life and feelings. I now know that what I was going through was grief and the paranoia that was going into it.
During this time I broke up with my partner, lost contact with a lot of friends and blocked a lot of people from my circle. This was because I felt at the time that I was always in the right, and what they were doing was entirely wrong. Again, I realised that this wasn’t the case, and that they were trying to help me become a better person. My language I was using during my sick time, and my behaviour was terrible.
Now, if you are going through this, please get help. Do not think you can cope with it by yourself. The problem with being ill sometimes is that you slowly try and isolate yourself from other people, and a vicious cycle starts. This doesn’t help anyone. I know you are struggling and I know that its a lot to cope with. But there are other people out there that can help you.
I’m sorry that you might be feeling at your worst at the moment, life maybe at its darkest. But please take care of yourself and stop trying to make others feel just as bad as you do now.
Please get help, not just for you but for the others around you. You don’t need to be like this.

As you can probably guess, I’m a HUGE Simpsons fan. I could probably do a million posts a day about different facts or points of interest, but that might loose me followers. If you hadn’t seen my previous Simpsons post please click here .
So this post is about my favourite quotes out of all the seasons. Now if I listed every quote that made me laugh, cry or think, I would be writing a post that would take weeks to read. Instead I am choosing my favourite ten. As a side note, if you want the sources on the images, please refer to google. They have helped me find images, and reverse google image search will help you find the original sources. So in no particular order, here they are.

When I first came out as transgender I felt like no one was ever taking me seriously until I ended up in trouble. Those were the only times I would be called sir, so I really relate to this.

Recently I have seen a trend in people claiming to be in “abusive” relationships when they haven’t. That they were in fact either in the wring, or so upset with how a relationship has taken place they will just start throwing the word around.
Now this post is not for the people (note how I am not gendering here, it happens regardless of gender) who are actual victims of domestic, (mental and/or physical) violence. This is not aimed at you. Tell your story loud and proud, get all the help you can physically get, get out of the situation. Do anything that will make the situation easier. Please contact who ever you can. But no, this post is for the people who actually lie about it.
Its harmful. Its not only harmful to the person you are falsely accusing, but victims themselves. The real victims have to live through the horror of dealing with it, remembering it, coming home to it. They may have spent months going through hell with the police. They may be dealing with bullying because of it or maybe dealing with death threats from family members or old friends. They may even be using services to get them out. Normally these are also the FIRST people who are normally trying to help someone else who is dealing with that situation.
How do you think they will feel when they find out you are lying. They will feel betrayed again. They will feel frustrated, because they will feel that the system that’s meant to protect them, will break down because of false allegations. They will be reminded once more of hurtful memories that they still to this day will cause flashbacks.
I’m talking from someone who has been abused in a violent manor and someone who has had a person around them lie to them about it.
The person who lied to me was an ex. They said that they were being abused by someone they had been having sex with. It turned out that it had been a total lie.
I’m not going to mention her name. She got married, possibly had a couple of kids by now , and I wish her well on all her endeavours, but she certainly has zero respect from me.
I dedicated a long time listening to them, making sure they were OK, trying to get them to go to groups and find them resources. I did this because when it had happened to me, I felt like I had no support. This was mainly because I shut everyone out. It screwed up my head that I had been betrayed like that. I had felt angry that they had taken up space when real victims, were struggling to get into services.
Now, as I said this is not aimed at people who have experienced abuse. It should never go on, there are no excuses. None! I just get upset that there is a tiny minority that think its acceptable to ruin a persons life because they were unhappy and wanted them to feel bad. I have seen it with friends, and I have said this to many people, always keep a record of communication that happens. Honestly this has helped so many people who have been falsely accused of abuse.
I would like to offer a flip side to this. I also have met people more often then not, that have actually been violent, and claimed innocence. And that is the lowest thing you can do. I have trusted people that I considered close friends, only to find out how bad they actually are. This is where the justice system needs to be improved on. The trial to conviction level is just terrible, and many guilty people have been let free to continue abuse. This needs to change. And it needs to start by teaching people how badly false accusations affect the justice system and how actual victims are treated like dirt by a system that’s meant to support them.
