The journey started off as per usual, said goodbye to Kai, got myself seated then started knitting a scarf to match my hair. No one warns you that green hair doesn’t work with a lot of things, but this post isn’t about my hair right now its about my journey to Aberdeen to see the family.
The whole of Brighton’s international students then preceded to get on the coach and for the first time in forever, the 025 was packed. The journey started off quite well and it was peaceful. Then towards the end, someone threw there gut up everywhere. Seats, aisle, everywhere. It wasn’t pleasant. The rest of the journey it smelt vile in the coach.
Eventually I got to London Victoria and did my usually of ordering a large coffee before sitting down to start checking my posts. It was pretty peaceful, and for quite a busy cafe Nero , the people there are often quiet. At Victoria coach station there was sick all over the floor, and I got busted pulling a stupid selfie face (thanks Pooj).
Eventually I got onto the coach to Aberdeen, a ticket group (three people) one with crutches / walking stick pushed in front of everyone and kicked off that they were not being let on. Here’s a clue, YOU PUSHED IN THE QUEUE. They eventually kicked off enough fuss that they got let on even though they had missed most of the queue. The person with the crunch , after sitting down to find a chair, is probably the most visibly mobile person, after hobbling their way through the crowd. They have even ditched the sticks. Needless to say I’m not pleased about this because of my own mobility issues.
By the time we had got to Heathrow , about 40 minuets late, the person who had been making out her “injury” had then noticed people were getting on the coach and stretched out on her seat and pretended to sleep. And then decided to stir when the bus started moving again. Honestly, I have never traveled with someone so fucking rude.
As per usual there was several children on the coach under 5, of which one of them was demanding attention and doing that fake cry, hoping that their parent would give in. Now, I want to ask, on behalf of the passengers of a night bus, please let your child have what ever the fuck it wants, if it means that it’s quiet. Seriously, your child didn’t pay for a full price ticket. They often get them at an extremely lower price, and many passengers on the night bus, are trying to sleep. If its requested that every other volume is turned down, so should children. I know this makes me sound like a cunt, but there are two different busses to Aberdeen each day, and if your child is one of those children that is at the difficult stage where they will fake cry for attention, please use the day time bus. I know it makes travel difficult, but there are reasons why people grab the night one.
Got to Glasgow and the original problem makers pushed someone out the way to get off the bus. Actually refused to wait, and pushed themselves in the queue to get off. Honestly I was shocked, and so where the rest of the other passengers.
There was about a 30 minute delay with the travel because of traffic issues, but the driver tried to make it up as much as they could. The next stop is of course, Aberdeen.
