This afternoon I got given the chance to check out the second to last viewing of the 20th anniversary of RENT done by bird house productions.
If you havnt seen RENT where the hell have you been. I hate, hate the theatre and musicals but I still know the back story of it. Go Google what it is if you don’t actually know what it is. Bottom line people living with AIDS loosing their home that’s also a performance venue.
So how did I find it. Well apart from trying to not murder the theatre kids next to us, I enjoyed it so much. Please don’t bring your children to piece people pay for when all they are going to do is misbehave. I know that’s going to give me a load of hate but when theatre tickets are not cheep it does ruin it for people.
Criticism. I really didn’t get on with the performer that played Angel. I don’t know if they were having an off day or what but I didn’t feel that much energy coming from them. Something that Angel has loads of. Also at the start I felt that Mimi was a little flat but then got better towards the end.
All the other cast and crew were just amazing. And managed to pull it off just beautifully. I am so glad that I managed to get out the house and see it whilst I could do. Thank you Charlie for getting us to come with you
Final note. Gavin we were so fucking proud of you and you did amazing as Rodger. It was difficult to not actually cry. ❤
