Review – Victor And The Bully

Holy shit I have been behind with everything. So last Saturday I went to a gig at “The Yellow Book” bar. The performers were a duo called Victor and the Bully. I think you probably guessed that with the title. 

I think I can describe them best as folk metal with cheeky school boy hints. They were loud, proud, and quite glittery actually. Their music is amazing, and they are on some of the more popular music streaming apps out there. Their lyrics are dark and funny and live they are great performers. 

I’m sad that we only had about 40 mins of them playing, honestly I could have listened to them all evening. Also it was a free gig! FREE! I had a great evening, but then again I’m never disappointed with the yellow book. 

I can’t wait to hear them again ❤

Review – Before Apocalypse At The Yellow Book

I sadly could only stay for an hour of this event because I got really tired and had to go home, so I’m really bummed out about this.
If you have never been to the yellow book in Brighton, it is the UKs first “Steam punk” bar. Honestly for a little bar just off London road, its really good.  We had our poly meet there a few hours previously (thank you for putting up with us) and we decided to stay on for this.
We only saw two acts. The first one was a story telling. I’m a bit upset because I got lost about half way through. Thankfully the wonderful person who did the story telling did copies of what they wrote, so I look forward to reading it.
The second performer was a fantastic acoustic guitar player who did humorous songs. She was fantastic.
I’m frustrated that I can’t remember either of the peoples names, so I will come back to edit this at another day.
I wish I could have stayed for longer but sadly the body didn’t want me stay out.
I hope it was a great evening, from what I saw of it. It was really good.
