So this afternoon Kai and I decides to go to Aldi to do shopping for the next few days and we came across this bread mix in the flour aisle.
Now for starters, 49p. 49 fucking pence. You can’t even get a freshly baked loaf for less than 99p these days, so I cannot complain about the price. We are thought that even if its awful, it was so cheep we wouldn’t be upset.
Got it home and used it practically right away. The instructions are really easy to use and the only other thing you need is water. You can either use it with a bread machine or bake by hand. We decided to bake by hand.
We followed the instructions to the letter, and we had felt that it hadn’t sufficiently risen before we put it in the oven, but as I said we followed the instructions.
We shoved it in the oven and left it to bake for the 30 minuets and when it came out, it had raised a little bit more, though for a loaf, it was still quite small.
Now as for the taste, fuck me it was amazing . The tomato wasn’t too over powering and it was quite tasty. Honestly for a 49p mix, it is amazing to make a small loaf as a side dish, but not large enough in my eyes for a regular bread. I honestly would recommend trying it, if anything to show you that the cheep companies are starting to make headway in the premium markets. I will defiantly be buying it again.
***Just to clarify that I do not work, or get paid by Aldi, and this review was just an item that I purchased that I wanted other people to know about***
