Sorry for the delay on Halloween posting things. I still am pretty fucking ill at the moment and it sucks so much.
However Halloween weekend we were treated to the delight that was “Queer Nightmare” at the Malbourogh. It was 4 bands who were queer and/or trans making some noise to celebrate the spooky festivities.
It was amazing. I am sad to say that I didn’t get to see Nervas but I managed to see the other three bands.
DIANA was a mash up of musical delights. It was in the best way to put it, like a very queer Happy Mondays set. They were fun and enjoyable.
Twink 182 followed them and they are (if you don’t know them) the first trans pop punk cover band. They got people moving and singing along to lots of late 90s early 00s hits from most of our teenage years.
Again I’m sorry, I missed Nervas and I’m really bummed by that. If anyone saw their set then please tell me what it was like.
Finally was Pentacorn and I love them so much. I may be slightly bias though because I adore everyone but OH MY GOD THEY WERE SO GOOD I CAN’T BREATH AND NIGHTMARE IS ONE OF MY FAVOURITE SONGS EVER!!! I can’t wait to see them again ❤
The only downside (apart from the heat killing my fake blood) was that the sound kept cutting out from time to time and it was a bit of a squish to get us all in towards the end, so maybe a larger venue.
Anyway, I can’t wait till I see more of all these wonderful people and I hope next year there is another one.
