Well I bought the tickets as a present and fit that I should write a review on this, even though writing this is is going to make me look like a cunt.
Imagine that the daily mail decided that they were going to make a white middle class 50 minute confusing episode and pass it off as a comedy.
Before we even entered Kai and I were very confused at the amount of people that certainly are not the average queer patrons of The Marlborough but since it was the fringe festival season we thought nothing of it.
Jokes were mainly aimed at middle class mail readers who’s only complaints were going to museums and trains. There was bullshit (and I’m pretty sure racist) stereotyped “accents”, an insult towards black cultured music, a transgender joke and an insult towards non straight relationships. Honestly, I don’t think the Marley read the script otherwise I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t have been allowed since most of the humour was based on one guys pathetic attempts to make as many different cultures “accents” as quickly as possible. Honestly I nearly fucking walked out.
Sorry, but I’m never seeing it again. It was fucking bad.
