On Good Friday Kai and I decided to go to Brighton sea life centre. Now for starters I will tell you this. If you are grabbing the train with someone else, at most train stations you can get a 2 for 1 booklet on places to visit in Brighton. Grab that shit, because its going to save you a few quid. Fill out the back pull out vouchers and appreciate the fact you are going in half price.
We paid £4 each extra so we could go round the backstage tour. There is a boat ride you can go on but we decided against it.
So what can I tell you about the place? Well its got fish. And lots of them. Ok for real though, its pretty big. You have the main areas and you go round to eventually getting to the underwater glass tunnel that has both sharks and the oldest turtles in captivity. For quiz knowledge they are 78.
The backstage tour is awesome, we had a wonderful person who did it. I got to touch Paraná teeth as well as sharks skin. The only downside of the backstage tour was that I couldn’t focus, because the certain person who did the tour was also someone I’ve met at a club with Kai before, drunk, and we spent the whole time trying to work out if we had seen them naked.
So what about the rest of it? Honestly I enjoy going there, but on the easter holidays I get really stressed out about how busy it gets and how loud people are, so I didn’t enjoy it as much. Saying that, honestly the place is fucking beautiful and I recommend people to go and visit it. The building itself is really pretty inside, you get to touch some starfish and a crab and the amount of sea creatures and rainforest animals that are there, is amazing. The animals are really well looked after and some of these animals are on the critical watch list, so I urge people to see them.
