So after 15 years I finally decided a few weeks back to start swimming every couple of weeks. Mainly to get more healthy but to actually do something I missed. The first time i went, I couldn’t breath after ten minutes and came to the conclusion that I needed to quit smoking. The second time I went I managed to last a lot longer before I started to get tired and managed to do a fair few laps in the pool.
We go to St Luke’s in Brighton. They close of the pool to regular public every two weeks to have it open to trans people who wouldn’t feel comfortable going swimming anywhere else. Honestly its a wonderful thing, and if you are trans and in the area, you should come and say hello to everyone. Its just under £5 for each session and the staff are amazing.
So this week I started cutting down on my cigarettes and moving onto a vape pen. Its tough, but eventually I will finish with cigarettes completely. However I would like to say watermelon e liquid tastes fucking amazing!!
Recently I also came to the conclusion also that I am having a bit of a wobble and are trying to sort out getting therapy again. I will keep everyone posted though as to how this pans out.
Finally, the people I did the written piece for, STILL didn’t get back to me so I’m pretty frustrated about it all. But I’m not going to let it get to me. Eventually I will finish planning my post plans for the start of the new year too, so watch this space.
Keep believing in yourself peeps
I do envy you having such a trans friendly pool in your area. 🙂 That is a very good idea that I sadly don’t believe operates in my area. I just have to remind myself to do a lot of walking and have a light workout every evening. Hubby and I are both nervous about confronting the changing room issue.
Good luck with your written submission. I know how that feels…
